Is HIV out of control in NSW?

Over the last decade annual rate of new diagnoses of HIV in NSW have remained stable. In 2010, 234 gay men were diagnosed with HIV, this group has consistently made up approximately 75% of the total number of new cases over the past 10 years.

While HIV rates amongst gay and bisexual men are steady in NSW, they have risen sharply in other places in Australia and around the world during this time.
